After getting back to boat, general boat, this week route and dive briefing for the week was made, we will be sailing to Rasdhoo atoll on Tuesday morning after the first dive.
The weather is great with 30 degrees Celsius, sunny, with calm sea and a mild breeze.
Wake up was at 05:15 and we were in the water before the luxury holidays to the maldives break of dawn.
It didnt take much time of the dive to see 11 Hammerhead as the first school and some moments later again a school of 5 hammerheads and then countless individual Hammerheads.
This was by far one of the best Hammerhead dives we did so far on this season and was absolutely an awesome dive and a perfect finishing of the trip.
After the dive we sailed back to Hulhumale and once anchored, all the divers visited Male the capital of Maldives.
Wake up 06:30 and diving started at 07:00, first dive at Makaru Thila. The current was mild and the visibility was around 25 meters.
The fish life was great; many white tips, napoleons, scorpion fish and tunas.
For the second dive we moved to the eastern edge of the atoll Bathala Maaga Kan Thila. This was again a very good dive in terms of fish life. Many Gray reef sharks, white tips, tunas and jacks. The current was very strong and probably this was the reason that we got lucky.
Rasdhoo Madivaru; as the third dive. It took about 1 hour 45 minutes to get there from north Ari atoll to Rasdhoo atoll.
The visibility was great and the current was like medium strong and again we had a great dive. Again we had an incredible dive with great fish life.
Gray reefs, white tips, huge napoleon, giant trevallies and eagle rays were among the highlights.
All in all three great dives with big fish life.
After the barbeque night diving resumed the next day morning. Wake up 06:30 and dive briefing 07:00 at Thundufushi Thila.
This one of the biggest thilas in Ari atoll with more than 2 km in diameter. The best diving is offered on the northern side of the reef. The main attraction of this thila is the vibrant colors of soft corals inside the caves and overhangs and the coral blocks away from the main reef in deeper waters.
The fish life is abundant here; schooling jack fish, tunas and very maldives boat trips commonly sting ray can be seen resting inside the caves.
With strong current can be a tricky dive and wouldnt advice for novice divers.
For the second dive we moved to Dhonkalo Thila also a Manta Point in northern Ari atoll. Again this is a tricky dive if the current is strong. Today we were rewarded with many manta rays and we could stay at one point and just watch the graceful animals glide us few feets above and away from us.
After this dive all we could see on the surface was happy divers with smiles on their faces.
Third dive at Maaya Thila, as usual the fish life was very active and we had an incredible dive. With medium current white tips, octopus, turtles, sting rays were among the high lights.
